About Trainsharp Cycle Coaching
Sean Yates
Sean Yates is one of the biggest names in British cycling and one of the strongest riders that Britain has ever produced. One of only four men to ever wear the yellow jersey in the tour de France, has earned Sean the reputation he has today. He was one of the most successful domestiques in the professional peloton, a rider who could win on his own and had more speed than most when riding against the clock. He spent 15 years riding as a domestique for Peugeot, Fagor, 7-Eleven and Motorola. Sean rode 12 tours and was one of the best when descending the mountains at break neck speeds.
Why Sean?
Do you want to be coached by people who are involved with the best of today’s cycling?
Britain’s Sean Yates has been a much valued mentor to Lance Armstrong for the best part of two decades. He has worked on team CSC, team discovery, Astana and now Team Sky.
Sean not only has the ability to coach the likes of Salvoldelli and Contador to win the Giro, but has successfully improved the fitness of many UK riders at a diversity of levels.
Sean Yates is set for a very busy time with the SKy team in 2010. Over the next few months he’ll be travelling extensively and, as a result, Sean has had to take a long hard look at how best to keep his personal coaching services available.
Well, the good news is that he’s formed a working partnership with TrainSharp – which means that you will be getting two top coaches for the price of one!

Sean and Jon share many of the same ideas about what makes coaching effective which means riders will be in a win–win situation. Every aspect of the training plan will be determined jointly by Jon and Sean to create the most appropriate package to improve your fitness and give you the results that you want.
All this means that the planning, tailoring and tracking of your training is managed by probably the strongest and most able team around – Sean Yates and Jon Sharples.
